Alexandra von Buelow

We work in association with one of Britain's most distinguished Boarding school companies, von Buelow & Partners Ltd., Oxford. Alexandra has placed thousands of children into British schools during the last seventeen years, and works with us to bring this skill into our advisory process. Her company name is known throughout Europe and stands for quality, experience and professionalism. Alexandra is an experienced teacher herself, and is therefore familiar with educational issues. Her
four children all completed their education at Sevenoaks, one of the top boarding schools in England, and have now made careers for themselves in Germany or Britain. She is in daily contact with school directors and parents and is able to use her knowledge for the benefit of all the families we work with.
Sonia Parsons

Daniel's daughter knows the British education system very well having attended Charterhouse school, Oxford and Sussex universities and spent time working as a Development Officer at Haileybury College, one of England's outstanding Boarding schools. Her career later moved into marketing in the Engineering sector, where she promoted products in Britain and overseas, and managed Public Relations for a major company. Sonia then moved into Financial Services where
she spent over 10 years working in Business Development, creating and presenting major international bids for new business. Most recently, Sonia worked for KPMG in London as a senior member of the Financial Services Consulting practice, where she specialised in coaching and advising on bid strategy. Sonia is now a consultant to English Studies Limited, providing our clients with her wealth of knowledge and experience in the British private education sector, and self-promotion and presentation skills. This is especially useful for helping university applicants to present themselves with confidence.
John Guyatt (British advisor for American Boarding School applications)

John is our advisor on U.S. Boarding School applications. We are pleased to recommend his services to any student wanting to study on the East Coast of America. John is a member of the Independent Schools Inspectorate that conducts inspections of private schools in Britain and overseas. He has worked on educational projects in Germany, Hungary, Greece and Romania, and between 2001 and 2003 acted as consultant to the
Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Bombay, during its construction phase and as Senior Advisor to the Board from 2003 to 2004. He was a Baring Scholar at Hertford College, Oxford, where he read for a BA in Modern History followed by a Postgraduate Certificate in Education at the University of London. He was Deputy Head of Sevenoaks School, Kent, from 1990-2003.
Carsten Boesel (German advisor for American university applications)

Carsten has been helping students and their families master the US application process for almost a decade.

A
fter working as a senior advisor at Amerika Haus Berlin, a US government-affiliated overseas educational advising centre, he eventually started his own practice, "consultUS", as one of Germany's first independent educational
consultants in 2006. His personalized, in-depth services include individual assessment, recommendation of US colleges and universities that best fit a student's profile, certified translations of educational credentials as well as editorial assistance with preparing application essays and CVs.

In addition to his work as a consultant, Carsten is also a prolific writer and German-English translator. His most recent publications include two 180-page volumes on studying in the US and Canada, both published by the prestigious German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

Carsten received his M.A. in American Studies, Political Science, and Communications from Freie Universitact Berlin. In 1997-98, he was awarded a scholarship to spend one academic year at Duke University, Durham, NC as a graduate student in English.
Herr Dr Ferenschild

Our advisor for German and Swiss Boarding Schools, some of which offer International baccalaureate studies, in English).

Hartmund Ferenschild has a Doctor of philosophy degree and is qualified as a teacher of German and Philosophy in secondary education.
He is the author of numerous publications on educational themes and works for one of Germany's leading Boarding Schools. He is also
responsible for public relations for the Association of LEH-Boarding Schools.

He and his skilled team work closely with English Studies Ltd. Oxford, to give advice and help to any student who wishes to study in German or Swiss Boarding schools. Many of these schools will offer the International Baccalaureate programme, taught in English. This offers students the chance to enjoy English in a German speaking environment.
