Harmony's 2nd International Day, Trnava, Slovakia

English Studies Limited was pleased to attend the 2nd International Day hosted by Harmony Language School in Trnava, Slovakia. We were joined by Jim Wright and Mario Rinvolucri - representatives of the major English language and teacher training company, Pilgrims Limited. We were asked questions about British culture and studying in the UK by an audience of Harmony's students, ranging from primary school children to adults. Some of the points raised elicited a divergence of opinion from the panel, such as "What do we think about having the Queen as head of state?" There was also comedy when a student asked if we could demonstrate some of the regional accents of the UK. We hope that the audience left with a wider appreciation of what it means to be British, and in the knowledge that there is more to the UK's cuisine than fish and chips!
